In a perfect world, people would be kind by default. This is not a perfect world.
So when a brain tumor made my brilliant and dashing husband Jay unable to communicate and visibly "off", we needed a way to quickly share what was going on, to stop harmful assumptions. Through cheeky t-shirts and cards, we took control back from this wicked cancer.
Your Choice
Being "out loud" about Jay's disease was a huge help to us in our travels and every day life, but it is a personal choice. I have also found value in being vocal about my life-long illnesses. However you choose to navigate is your right choice, and this was ours.
